is a route tracking application that uses geofencing and beacons to trigger various actions when entering or leaving predefined areas around Points of Interest on the routes. It also displays notifications corresponding to entering and leaving geofenced areas or detecting beacons.

TrackingSport ("we", "our", or "the app") is aware of your privacy on the Internet and is committed to protecting it. We want you to be clear about how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and what we do with your information when you use our app.

We take privacy and security very seriously. We implement reasonable administrative, physical, and technical security measures to protect the personal and location data you share with us. However, absolute security against breaches by third parties does not exist, so we only collect the data necessary for the proper functioning of the service.

Required Permissions

For optimal performance and delivery of core services, the application requests the following access:

Storage Access

Stores the minimum user identification data to avoid requiring constant login. It also allows storing maps and local route data for tracking in offline mode without an Internet connection.

Personal Information

When creating an account, we collect your full name (for personalization), email address (for account management and support), encrypted password, and optionally a profile picture and other preference data.

Location (Background)

Essential for determining entry and exit from geofenced areas, showing your position on maps, recording your journey, calculating distances, and alerting you if you deviate from the planned route. Background location is activated only during active route tracking, even when the app is closed or not in use.

Bluetooth

Essential for detecting proximity beacons on routes, enabling precise geolocation under structures or on wooded trails. It only reads assigned beacon identifiers.

NFC (Near Field Communication)

Used only in read mode to scan marked physical checkpoints and interactive tags during route navigation.

Camera

Required only to scan QR codes for prizes, checkpoints, ArUco markers, or optionally to capture a photograph for your profile.

Use of Information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Core Functionality: Real-time tracking and route tracing.
  • Personalization: Display your individual performance statistics and progress.
  • Service Improvements: Analyze performance patterns and optimize battery consumption of tracking algorithms.
  • Essential Communications: Operational alerts, system notifications, and technical support.
  • Security: Mitigate risks and fraudulent access to your account.

We do not sell or rent your personal or geolocation data to advertisers or third parties for profit.

Transfer and Cookies

Our main servers are located within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, for the operation of critical integrations (such as deep link management and auxiliary technical infrastructure through Firebase and Branch.io), data is transferred securely under standard encryption and the legal frameworks applicable to those providers.

The mobile application does not use traditional cookies. Instead, it uses:

  • Secure Session Tokens: To keep your session active locally.
  • Local Storage (Local Storage / SQLite): Map cache for offline functionality.
  • Unique Device Identifiers: To uniquely link the device to its respective account.

Your Rights and Account

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to access, rectify, port, and delete their personal data.

Account and data deletion:
You can request the definitive and complete deletion of your account directly from the app's side menu at: Profile → Delete Account. After confirming your decision, profile information and history will be permanently deleted within a maximum of 15 business days.

If you have trouble completing this process from the application, you can request deletion through our (email verification required) or send a request to info@trackingsport.com from the same email address associated with your registration.
